General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hi,

FSH injection belongs to the group of medications known as hormone that is used in the treatment of female infertility by stimulating the ovaries to develop follicles. Developing 6-16 mature, egg containing follicles that are around 2-2.5 cm in diameter is the main aim of treatment. After completing 3-4 cycles of FSH therapy, one in three women will achieve pregnancy. Taking FSH may cause ovarian cysts, multiple pregnancies, low birth weight baby, pre term birth etc in the long run.

Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
