What Are The Side Effects Of IUD?

I have had an implanon for 2 years with no problems. Due to be removed and changed next year. I have not had a period for the last few years while having the implanon. Now all of a sudden I have had heavy loss for over 1 week with lots of clots. if it is not a change in hormones...what could it be?? I am 37 years old.

No need to worry .
Heavy bleeding can occur when the uterine increases so much that it cannot be supported by implanon hormones.
In my opinion you should consult doctor in case bleeding does not stop and also get your hemoglobin tested.
