What Are The Side Effects Of Ibuprofen?

Hi I am a 25 yr old female, I fell down a flight of stairs, bruised and scrapped my lower back (right on the spine spreading to my right side). I have iced it and took ibuprofen to reduce swelling. Also, a friend recommended "Arnica montana" to take instead of ibuprofen.
Any suggestions on what I should do? and if I need to get it checked out?
