What Are The Side Effects Of Implanon Implant?

I am using the implanon and I ve had it since 2013 or 2014. it stopped me from having my period. Just recently however, after intercourse (always unprotected). 2 days later when I wiped myself, really bright pink blood was on the tissue. Over the days it got clear red and now turned brown. But not enough blood to cover my underwear, just like spots.. I m confused is this pregnancy or somehow getting my period??

Hi, I have gone through your question. Implanon is progesterone implant and it has a side effect of irregular periods, spotting or no periods at all. The spotting you are having is most probably due to the effect of the progesterone implant.
I would suggest you to get your urine pregnancy test done to be sure, which will most probably be negative as the failure rates of implanon are quite low.
Hope you found the answer helpful.
Wishing you good health.
