What Are The Side Effects Of Mirena IUD?

I am 57 ,Mirena fitted for 4years10months to stop heavy bleeding. No periods since inserted but some weight issues and skin problems. Nothing compared to the mess and life restrictions with the bleeding so happy with the product.I have had no menapause symtoms so worried that when its removed the hot flushes and other symptoms will start and the heavy bleeding returns.Not sure if another 5years is really needed as takes me to 62.
