What Are The Side Effects Of Phentermine And Invokana?

My granddaughter is 16 years old and is overweight (about 267 lbs.). She has been taking Phentermine (15 mg.) 1 cap. a day and Invokana (300 mg) 1 pill a day since August of this year by a physician. She is also taking amphetamine-salt (30 mg) 1 pill a day for ADHD prescribed by her pediatrician. What are the Uses, side effects and precautions in taking Phentermne and Invokana?

Phentermine is used for short term management of obesity. It has to be stopped if weight loss does not occur within 4 weeks of initiation. Serious side effects to watch out includes psychotic disorders, cardiac disorders and they are rare.
Invokana(canagliflozin) is used to reduce blood glucose levels. It can also assist in weight loss. As this drug increases the glucose levels in blood, you need to watch for any genital mycotic infections.
