What Are The Side Effects Of Steroid Injection?

my husband had a steriod injection in his back 2 weeks ago for a herniated disc. He also has cirrohsis and 1 kidney that does not function. He has been nauseaus and bloated since the third day after the injection. Has this injection caused more liver/kidney damage? He is also borderline diabetic that is diet controlled.
