What Are The Side Effects Of Vyvanse And Adderall?

My daughter is taking Vyvanse and Addrall for ADHD and Xanax for anxiety. She is constantly depressed and tired all the time. She also suffers from intestinal problems. What the heck is going on here? What is the benefit of the Adderall as an add-on to the Vyvanse. She has three (3) children and has a tough time getting a good night s sleep as well as suffering the previously-mentioned side effects. You thoughts would be appreciated.

Hello,

Since your daughter has a history of ADHD & anxiety, she should continue to take the prescribed medications, Adderall & Xanax. Stomach problems may be a side effect of Adderall, she can consult her treating doctor & after that reduce the dose or replace the medication with a medication that suits her better. Sleep disturbance can be caused by Vyvanse. Vyvanse causes trouble sleeping. She can avoid taking this medication after informing her treating doctor.

Help your daughter come out of anxiety, stress by encouraging her to do activities that she loves, going outdoors for picnics, long drives, hearing music, dancing, cooking, reading, exercising. Make life exciting & let her come out of sedentary lifestyle. Life is beautiful, enjoy it & teach her to enjoy it. Do not let her get addicted to medications.
