What Are The Side Effects Of Alcohol Addiction?

When a person has a long history of excessive drinking, and you can smell alcohol coming through his pores, is this a sign of liver disease? Is there anything a person can do about this odor other than quit drinking? How long after quitting will a person stop emitting the odor?

Liver and nerve damage are consequences of a lot of alcohol intake (and probably also not eating enough correct foods along iwth the alcohol being the main source of calories). The odor can be due to alcohol in the system which is cleared in general in hours (but might be slightly delayed if the liver is damaged). there is a different smell that could be confused with this from the liver not clearing all the toxins (fetor hepatica). This stays. Invariably the person will not seem healthy if their liver is failing badly.
