What Are The Side Effects Of Bactrim?

I am taking Acyclovir for cold sores and I was just put on Bactrim for a cold that has been lingering for 6 weeks. In addition, I take Allegra 180 and Prilosec daily. After taking my first dose of Bactrim, I woke up last night to a fever and a terrible yeast infection. Is this a side effect of the Bactrim and should I continue to take it and just treat the yeast infection with OTC cream?
