What Are The Side Effects Of Birth Control Pills?

Hello, I've been taking birth control for about 6 months now, and for the past 2 months I have experienced bleeding between my periods, even while I am still regularly taking birth control. I will bleed for about 2 weeks leading up to my period, have my period, and then not bleed for about a week and a half before I start bleeding again. What should I do?
