What Are The Side Effects Of Cartia Intake In Cardiac Patients?

Hi, having had a heart attack feb 13, I have been on clopodogril for 12 mths . Have a mid lad stent since then. T he doctor stoppes the clopodogril because I was on it for 12 mths and was having a lot of trouble with burning like indigestion . I now take Cartia and I now am having trouble with burping all the time and a feeling of a lump in my throat until I start to burp and then it goes away for a while, just wondering if the cartia is doing this, thanks

Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service.
I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.

You may be suffering from food intolerance or gastritis NSAIDS induced or irritable bowel syndrome or infection or malabsorption syndrome, etcetera.

Until examination is done, it is difficult to say what it is. Avoid spicy food, alcohol, smoking and caffeine drinks.

Avoid gluten containing food and dairy products. Use tablet Pantoprazole before breakfast. Consult your physician for prescription.

If symptoms do not improve, please consult your doctor who will examine and treat you accordingly.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.

Regards,
Dr. Penchila Prasad Kandikattu
