I have been on clonazepam for 17 years. My doctor put me on .05mg along with Zoloft. For many years I saw him often for a period of no more than 25 minutes per session. Than he would write the script. He did tell me it was highly addictive yet still wrote me the script. In Feb 2013 I took on a new job and asked for him to give me a better strength 1mg (he said yes) I let him go after I said I believed I need to be on ssdi and he said he did not feel I was disabled. I asked than why have you been working with me for 17 years. in 2012 I started getting problems, spleen issues and my left eye twitching and closing (slight blindness) I went to a neurologist and they said they could not find anything wrong with me. I said that fact that my eye is twitching in front of you and is swollen and at half mass is not enough? So On Jan 10th I got an edoscopy and my gastrologist boosted my dose to 2mg 2times a day. Now I find out that this pill has very serious side effects. Can my eye problem and spleen issues be related and is 17 years on this pill normal or simply careless behavior by a doctor.
