What Are The Side Effects Of Conceiving While On Implanon?
i recently found out i am pregnant not sure exactly how far as yet waiting on blood test result. I only had my first child 15 weeks ago and have an implanon in im just wondering what the side effects are of being pregnant again so soon and with the implanon can you help me???
If a woman conceives while using Implanon, it will not harm the fetus or cause birth defects because Implanon makes the cervical mucus thick, blocks the sperms from meeting the egg, disrupts the menstrual cycle & prevents ovulation.
However, Implanon may interfere with the pregnancy test as it releases progestins & may show negative results when you may be pregnant.
Get physically examined by your gynae & get USG done to confirm the viability of the fetus & to rule out an ectopic pregnancy.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
