HI I M 19 AND HAVE BAD ACNE ON MY FACE, I HAVE BEEN PRESCRIBED TRIGESTELL CONTRACEPTIVE PILL,I VE BEEN ON IT FOR 2 MOTHS NOW AND HAVE BEEN HAVING SHOOTING PAINS IN MY HEAD, DIZZINESS AND PAIN IN MY CHEST, COULD THESE SYMPTOMS BE CONNECTED TO THIS PILL. HOPE YOU CAN HELP ME. THANKS
Your symptoms are due to the birth control pills you switched on to now. Trigestrel pills having specific side effects like weight gain, water retention (edema), mood swings, acne, raised blood pressure, Increased appetite etc. Along with this other common birth control pill symptoms includes, nausea, breast tenderness, diarrhea, dizziness, spotting are also reported.
These will reduce within few months once your body gets adapted to the pills. If persists for a longer duration and troublesome, consult your near by gynaecologist for help.
