Hi 4 months ago I had my copper iud taken out because I though I was having an allergic reaction which my doctor didn't believe I was but I know my body, after a week after my iud removal I started so get patches on different areas of my body at first I didn't think anything if it until it started to itch which made it unbearable since them my doctor told me it was eczema, I have tried hydrocortisone creams, eumovate, fucibet, betnovate, amoxicillin as one of the patches got infected none of them have helped I am still suffering with the issue I have to take antihestomines every night so I can sleep I don't know what else to do my Gp isn't helping I feel like a lab rat I just want to be normal help!!

There are only very few reported cases on allergic reactions to IUD. Allergic reactions could be a rash, hives, swelling,seborrhoeic dermatitis etc.
I advice you to - Apply moisturising cream (cetaphil), twice daily immediately after bath or before the skin dried up completely. - Also use topical steroid creams ( fluticasone) - Apply steroid first & then the moisturiser - Do not apply strong irritating ointments - avoid contact of skin with wollen clothes
