What Are The Side Effects Of Indapamide Sr On Kidney Function?

Hi doctor, my dad is on indapamide sr today onwards (the doc just changed his medication from prazosin to this new medication). The doc before asked him to take prazosin and it seems that medication does not suit him (He will feel dizzy after he ate prazosin 2mg). My questions are as follows: 1. indapamide sr is it the same as hydrochlorothiazdie 25mg or Conversyl 8mg? 2. once taken indapamide sr, do my dad need to take any potassium tablet as a supplement to increase his potassium level? 3. My dad just recovered from lung infection 3 weeks ago, will it be harmful to him to start taking indapamide sr? 4. Is indapamide sr very harmful to kidney function?
