What Are The Side Effects Of Long Term Usage Of Betnovate Skin Cream?

Hi is there effect of long term use of betnovate skin cream (the blue one),i have been applying it on my baby skin who is 21months old to clear heat rashes on his body.when i use it they clear out but when i stop the rashes appears again.does it bleaches the skin?

Betnovate cream contains betamethasone that belongs to the group of medications known as steroids or corticosteroids is used in the treatment of various inflammatory skin conditions like eczema, dermatitis, psoriasis, insect bites, prickly heat etc. Betnovate cream doesn't act as bleaching cream for helping improve skin colour, skin tone or fairness. Some of the medication can get into the bloodstream if Betnovate is used for a long time. If this occurs, then it may cause some serious side effects such as adrenal gland problems, hyperglycemia or high blood sugar, thinning of skin, eyesight problems etc. Other side effects of this medication are blistering, burning, crusting, flaking or dryness of the skin, tightening of the skin, redness of the skin, irritation, itching, scaling, swelling or soreness of the skin, acnes, rosacea, discoloration of skin, stretch marks, inflamed hair follicles etc. The chance of these side effects may increase, if Betnovate cream is used for a long time.
