What Are The Side Effects Of Omeprazole?

My sister is overseas (she s an OT) and is working in a disability centre - they have a student who has arthrogryposis who has been prescribed Omeprazol 20mg for severe oesophagitis, but since commencing on it (presumably today) her forearm has swollen ++ - is that a possible side effect of the omeprazole?
