What Are The Side Effects Of Smoking During Pregnancy?

I smoked a lot before my pregnancy and a through the first trimester to take away morning sickness?Will they drug test me or my child when I give birth and if so what can I do to clear my system without harming the baby? Niacin? Charcoal pills? Dieuretics?

this is 4-6 months later ?.... it's theoretically, I guess... possible.....but very unlikely. In heavy daily smokers the duration of detection generally quoted is about half that long (2 months) and that is only on the heaviest users. Doubtful they will drug test. More doubtful serious consequences will occur from a positive one or we wouldn't have any children going home with their moms (there's a lot of marijuana use).
