What Are The Side Effects Of Taking Macrodantin Antibiotic?

Are there any side effects to antibiotic microdantin I have been given these capsules for a urinary infection and about 2 days after commencement I developed a sore swollen throat and not been able to keep food down plus extremely tired 24-7. Can you help

As per your complain Macrodantin contains active ingredient Nitrofurantoin and it is one of the most commonly advised antibiotic for urinary tract infection..
The symptoms of swollen sore throat along with vomiting and tiredness can be due to infection while can also be due to side effect of medication.
Sore, swollen throat can be due to acid reflux caused secondary to vomiting and hypercidity..
But the exact cause of the symptoms can be confirmed only after a thorough clinical evaluation..
I would suggest you to consult your treating physician and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if it is due to side effect of medication the medication can be changed with other substitutes..
As of now you can take proton pump inhibitor like Pantoprazole or Omeprazole empty stomach in morning..
Take Ondensarton for reducing nausea and vomiting..
Take a light diet, drink plenty of water and take sufficient rest.
