What Are The Side Effects Of The Intake Of Barium?

Having a CT scan on abdomen and pelvis and have to drink two bottles of the Barium at different times before I go for the test. The question I have to ask is will I have to run to the washroom for several times before I leave my house for the test? Thank you very much.

Hi.First of all remember that the contrast given in CT scan is not barium.
This rarely cause any problem and you may have to visit the restroom only once or twice.
