Hello,
You have taken very good decision to get married and have a baby. I appreciate and respect the decision taken, all the best. I-pills are emergency pills to be taken within 72 hours of unprotected sexual intercourse. It is a One-Time pill and works for the episode for which it is taken. It may not be effective for unprotected sex done many times.
Side effects of any type of
contraceptive pills causes nausea,
dizziness, mood changes, scanty
menstruation, spotting, complete cessation of menstruation, irregular bleeding, heavy bleeding,
stomach cramps, discomfort, etc. Since you and your partner are trying for a baby, you should avoid stress (emotional and physical), maintain healthy weight (both) and take home made balanced nutritious food rich in minerals and protein.
Avoid taking any food or drinks that have teratogenic contents / ingredients. This is for both the partners. Teratogenic food causes malformations in embryo or fetus. Continue with sexual intercourse quite regularly especially during the ovulation period. But don't stress, let it be natural. She should be able to conceive.
You can try for 2-3 yrs (sometimes conception is fast, at times it can take a longer time) and if it doesn't work then you can go for
infertility treatment. There are separate tests and investigations for men and women. Avoid addictions (
smoking, drugs, alcohol, etc.), both the partners. You should take food that boosts the
testosterone level. Your wife should take healthy food and avoid getting obese. She should be cheerful and stress free to conceive faster.
Take care. Hope I have answered your question. Let me know if I can assist you further.
