Hello and Welcome to ‘Ask A Doctor’ service. I have reviewed your query and here is my advice.
Panderm contains a potent steroid. It should never be used for acne. Steroids due to the anti-inflammatory effect might reduce the inflammatory component of acne temporarily but in the long-term they actually increase acne.
If I were your treating doctor, I would have asked you to use a topical antiacne gel, either clindamycin gel for day time application and benzoyl peroxide gel for night time application. They are antibacterial, antiinflammatory and keratolytic (benzoyl peroxide).
An oral antibacterial such as doxycycline or azithromycin may also be started depending on whether the acne lesions are inflammatory.
Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
