Hi Dr....I am oliviya joseph....from kerala...I have been used melacare cream for 1 year..
how can i stop usind this cream ?
if i stop melacare cream will it turn my skin dark.
skin gets darker than it was originally and now. "please suggest me a good fairness cream "

Hi. Welcome to healthcareMagic.

Melacare forte cream should not be used for more than 2-3 months and that too without the supervision of a doctor for fear of steroid related side effects like:

-Acne,
-Photosensitivity,
-Skin thinning and Telangiectasia,
-Facial hair growth,specially troublesome in females.

I would advice that you discontinue the cream right away.

Use a broad spectrum sunscreen, which offers both UVB and UVA protection throughout the day.

You can use a cream containing one or more of the following ingredients like kojic acid, glycolic acid, arbutin for a fairer complexion. They are safe for long term use as compared to melacare.
