What Are The Signs And Symptoms Of A Kidney Failure?

What are the signs of kidney failure? My husband has one kidney, due to CA in the other in 2008. Then he started having problems with kidney and found out he has multiple myeloma, which caused the remaining kidney to fail and he was placed on diaylis for 10 months. Then the myeloma went into remission and his one kidney started working. And he has been holding his own since. He is 83 yrs old. The last few days, he has weak, thirsty, not much void (however it is very hot 100 to 110 degrees), and last night he was nauseated and had dry heaves. I am worried. Today he is very tired, sleepy and weak, but no heaves. Could it be his kidney?

Hello,

Fatigue puffy face swollen edematous lower limbs dark facial complexion shortness of breath palpitation little urination.

It could be his kidney only one kidney. Immediate rush him to local hospital emergency centre; check msu culture /sensitivity do Full blood count check electrolytes urea creatinine EGFR ECG CXR RENAL U?S etc and appropriate referral.
