What Are The Symptoms Of Alzheimer S Disease?

My husband continually smacks his lips and his tongue movements are also visible... He is on high blood pressure meds, diuretics, , but my main concern is the Alzheimer disease that runs in his family....which he has not been diagnosed or tested for. His voice is louder too, if not mumbling... any thoughts?

Greetings!
Its important to diagnose Alzheimers at a very early stage. It may present with many symptoms. Of course, the most common symptom of Alzheimer's is memory loss that disrupts daily life. Some people experience confusion with time or place, difficulty planning, challenges with words or poor judgment, among many other cognitive symptoms.
Motor activities may be affected too; many people in the second stage progressively lose their ability to engage in activities requiring hand and finger coordination. Hence, its vital to diagnose the disease sooner and to start effective treatment.
