yes, I have a friend that thinks she has hiv. I don't know what to tell her. She had an unprotected sexual relationship with a man who is a known bed jumper! her last incounter with him was early April. she is now having flu like signs for about a week. she was tested but came out negative what are the changes she is hiv positive?
Hi Sexual promiscuity is the most common cause of hiv spread world wide. Your friend need a standard hiv screening. After a contact, even if the patient acquired virus, the routine tests won't give a positive result at least for 8weeks. So as pet protocol, a repeat test should b done after 3 months to exclude HIV. Meanwhile ask vher to quit the high risk behaviour.
Thank you
