What are the symptoms of Vitamin D overdose.......I have been taking 5000 units per day for about a month...all of a sudden I started having terrible pains in my left upper abdomen. I stopped taking the vitamins 3 days ago and the pains have subsided quite a bit.

Hypervitaminosis D can occur but it is extremely rare. The usual side effects are poor appetite, nausea vomiting, weakness, frequent urination and kidney problems also may occur.
