What Are The Symptoms Of A Broken Thumb Joint?

I am a 43 ear old female 5'4" 170lbs. I got my thumb caught in the beaters, accidentally turned on while I was taking them out. It really hurt it and bruised, but almost 2 months later, I cannot bend it, cannot write, the upper joint has a bump and the pain radiates to the tip of my thumb. I cut hair for a living and that doesn't help, I know, but I wonder if it is broken or just badly bruised... help. I am otherwise healthy otherwise
