What Are The Symptoms Of A Snake Bite?

I felt a sting on my ankle while working in the yard. I did not see anything and thought it was a black fly bite. I continued working and then when I came out an hour later I found a diamond back hissing at my dog. I have had numerous snakes this year and this one under my deck right by where I was working, pushed me over the edge and I killed my first snake with a shovel - though on the deck. I just took a shower and saw what looks like red blotches on my right leg and then saw two marks on my ankle. Is it possible it is a dry bite? I m not sure if I should go in?

Hi,

Where you saw a snake and then you have two marks this probably is that you had a snake bite. The two marks are very typical of a snake bite. Though most of the snake bites are not toxic.

However, if you have blue blots on skin then you should urgently move to ER for evaluations some snakes may cause thinning of the blood.

Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further.
