What Are The Symptoms Of A Snake Bite?

I was bitten while clearing some ferns out of garden in birmingham alabama. There were 2 holes on my fore arm with blood coming out. No other teeth marks were left. What sure looked like fang marks about 1/2 inch apart were left. Could they have beedn left by a non venomous snake or other creature? Could a venomous snake have bitten me without injecting venom to warn me to stay clear? They bleeding stopped minutes later and I did not seem to suffer any other side effects. This was 3 or 4 weeks ago.

General & Family Physician 's  Response
Hello there I have read through your question and would like to tell you that most likely you were bitten by a non venomous snake. The symptoms of a snake bite depend on the type of venom the snake possess. It may be haemorragic, vasculotoxic or neurotoxic. Since it is already two weeks, you are unlikely to suffer from any adverse effects. I hope that answers your question. If you have any further questions please feel free to write. Thank you for choosing healthcare magic.
