What Are The Symptoms Of A Twisted Intestine?

What are the symptoms of a twisted intestine? I get this severe abdominal pain every so often that feels like there is a huge knot in the upper region of the abdomen. It doesn t usually last longer than several minutes after I ve started doing a yoga like relaxing breathing. It s most frightening. Thank you, Daiane

Hello,

Intestine blockage (twisted intestine) can cause severe pain that generally lasts more than a few minutes and the patient may get nausea and vomiting and may not pass stool or gas and bloatedness results because of these. Fever may come at later stages.
In your case, because the pain is for only a few minutes it is less likely it is due to a twisted intestine. You will need a good visit with your doctor to determine the cause of your symptoms.

I hope this answers your query. I remain at your disposal in case further medical assistance is needed.

Regards,
