What Are The Symptoms Of Bipolar Disorder?

My sister has either major depression or bipolar disorder. I have tried to help her, but she never listens to me or trys to change anything in her life to make things better. She is taking an anti-depressant from a family practioner, but it is definitely not working for her. I m trying to get her to see a psychiatrist so she can get an accurate diagnosis. I am bipolar II and have also been an a Registered Nurse for 36 years. How can I get her to let me help her.

Your sister has to be in a stubborn mental structure because of the mental illness she might have.In that sense, it becomes very difficult for you to convince her to get proper treatment. I suggest you not to try further. You should approach one of her friends or acquaintances. They will be able to convince your sister much better than you.
