I have just had an ultra sound on the left side of my face where I have had a lump develop. After the scan I was told there were 4 smaller lumps as well as the larger lump. I was told I will need an MRI to get a clearer picture and that the lumps were associated with the Carotid. Could this be cancer?
Hi I have gone through your sonogram finding you have writtenn. The report you written is very vague .but the possibilities might be parotid lesion with lymphadenopathy, carotid body tumor, thyroid lesions or cervical lymphadenothy. MRI they might have asked to know, the pane of swelling ,its extension and relation with vital structures. Dont worry.go for Mri.even benign lesions (non cancer)is possibility .we cant say by this as cancer.so many non cancerous conditions appear as cancer.soconfirmation is important. Thabk you Regards Vasundhara
