What Are The Symptoms Of Early Pregnancy?

I took a Next Choice pill on August 18 and the second one on the 19th (12 hrs after the 1st pill). I starting bleeding on August 23rd and stopped on the 26th. My period was suppose to come on the 23rd of this month and I have no received it. I have been having a headache for the past week and no medications I take seems to work. This morning I woke up with stomach pains feel nauseous. I have also been experiencing cramps along with the same headache. Could I be pregnant?

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic.

2 ) As per your history, you might have taken the pills as emergency contraceptive pill. This may not be adequate dose of hormone progesterone to prevent the pregnancy.

3 ) If you have crossed your expected date of the cycle and you have some of the pregnancy like symptoms then I will suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test and USG will be of help.


4 ) Even If you are pregnant, you can opt for termination of the pregnancy with medicines safely till 9 weeks of of pregnancy under medical supervision.

5 ) I will suggest you to get proper sex counselling done. Use of suitable contraceptive method like condom, will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs.
