What Are The Symptoms Of Genital Herpes And How Can It Be Detected?

Hi, I have a few questions about genital herpes. I ve noticed a few different bumps in the genital area within the past week. One in the crevasse between my genital area and the top of my thigh which went away within a week. At one point it oozed clear liquid and now for the most part it is gone although there is still a small bump and some redness. Today, I have found a small red bump on my inner thigh, which I am hoping is an ingrown hair, although I don t see any hair within the bump. It looks like a very tiny pimple and I tried picking at it earlier and the redness increased. If either of these were herpes would they have appeared at the same time, or can the virus breakout in one area and then at another different one at a different time? Also, how long should I wait after initial possible exposure to go get tested?

Let me tell you certain important points regarding Herpes: let me tell you certain important facts related to herpes:

To tell you medically - Herpes lesions are apparent as small vesicles (fluid filled blisters) which remains for just a day or two and then forms ulcers which are quite painful. These ulcers then heal in next 5-7 days.

To begin with also these vesicles are quite painful and itchy with discomfort and once the vesicles burst in a day or two then the ulcers which are formed are quite painful for next 4-5 days.

For the testing: We go for testing of HSV 1 & 2 IgM and IgG antibodies. These antibody test can be done from a period of 14 days to 28 days post exposure.
