What Are The Symptoms Of Lupus?

My 14 yo niece went swimming in a fresh water lake earlier this summer. Shortly afterward she got sick, sluggish, body aches, etc. Diagnosed & treated for mono with no improvement - she still had the joint pain in various parts of her body (feet, shoulder), some blood in kidneys and was sent to RA doc & Kidney doc. She has been medicated with antibiotics, steroids - spent 5 days in hospital after there was some blood in her stools. After multiple tests, bloodwork, scans, mri, she was sent home with a possible diagnosis of lupus. She s been having nose bleeds & has been put on iron. She had follow up bloodwork done 2 weeks ago and that bloodwork didn t indicate lupus & she s scheduled for a CT Scan tomorrow. Any suggestions?
