Hello! Welcome to HealthcareMagic!

I can understand your concern. Pelvic inflammatory disease is the one with high recurrence rate. Your suspicion of having PID might be right. For confirmation, vaginal swab for culture and sensitivity is required. As you mentioned, fever with chills, it certainly goes in favor of infection. Please also have urine culture and sensitivity done. Please upload your test results. Anyway, I shall provide below the empirical treatment recommendations for PID :

1) Inj. Ceftriaxone 250mg intramuscularly single dose(only one time in the entire treatment regimen) plus Doxycycline 100mg twice daily orally and Metronidazole 500mg orally twice daily for 14 days.
2) If any penicillin allergy, Levofloxacin 500mg once daily orally plus Metronidazole 500mg orally twice daily for 14 days; recommended as alternatives.
3) If you are suffering from any gastritis, tab.Pantoprazole once daily before food is advised. Even after the above empirical therapy, if symptoms persist, you need to go for vaginal swab culture or if needed, visualization of pelvic organs by ultrasound scan or endoscopy.

Hope this clarifies your concerns. Any further doubts, please write to us. Its my pleasure to be of any help to you. Thank you for the query.

Take care

Regards,
