Hi,I am Dr. Shanthi.E (General & Family Physician). I will be looking into your question and guiding you through the process. Please write your question below.
I am 43 y/o. I have not menstruated in over two months, 4 weeks since last sexual encounter. Over the last 4-5 weeks I have experienced pregnancy symptoms that have all gone away except some breast soreness, minor nausea, fatigue, and frequent urination. Three days ago, I noticed the thick white discharge (no odor/itching) was replaced with a red/brown/pink discharge that was very light and on;y lasted 3 days. I have tested 5 times for pregnancy, all negative. No hot flashes, loss of sex drive, moodiness. Can this still be Perimenopause?

What Are The Symptoms Of Perimenopause?
Hi, Yes, it is possible that the symptoms are related to perimenopause. Pregnancy tests can normally detect pregnancy by day 11 to 14, some earlier. This means that at 4 weeks since your last encounter, the test would show up as positive if you were pregnant. The length of perimenopause can vary from one person to the next. Menopause is diagnosed when a year has passed with no menstrual bleeding. Hope I have answered your query. Let me know if I can assist you further. Take care Regards, Dr Michelle Gibson James, General & Family Physician
