What Are The Symptoms Of Potential Herpes?

hi please can someone answer me, i was told i had hsv 2 7 years ago, i never had a blood test or a viral culture test, i believe it was looked at there and then under a microscope at the gum clinic. Bascially its been bothering me as my 2 ex partners had tests and were negative, i am aware that they could have still carried this but one of them who was a longterm ex has hsv1, i have done alot of research and to my understandng hsv1 in genitals does not normally return, yet hsv2 can sometimes recurr in the first two years, i beleive i had hsv 1 and would like an honest answer please many thanks, also i had shigella vaginitus due to a miscarriage at the same time and would ask, would this have lowered my immune system to have this primary outbreak thank you for your help
