Hi, may I answer your health queries right now ? Please type your query here...Hi i had intercourse multiple times bt with protection with my wife. we just recently married and we lost our virginity now. now my wife has got delayed period. am worried if she is got regnent, just wanted to know any good gynocologist whom i can consult in bangalore. she always used to have irregular period. plz suggest

Hi there, I have understood your concern. I will suggest you the best possible treatment options.

1 ) First of all do not panic .

2 ) As per your history, you had protected sex activity in the concerned cycle, so chances of pregnancy are less.

But if your wife has missed or crossed her expected date of cycle, then I will suggest you to get morning's first sample of urine tested for pregnancy. In case of doubt blood beta HCG test will be of help.

3 ) If the test results is negative, then she can simply wait for the onset of periods or induce the periods with Tab Regestrone 5 mg twice a day for 5 days. Usually periods start within 3 to 10 days of finishing the tablets.

4 ) I will suggest to get USG done to rule out PCOS as a cause of her irregular cycles.

5 ) Please get a proper sex counselling done. Use of barrier contraceptive method like condom, will help to prevent unwanted pregnancy and STDs.
