What Are The Symptoms Of Preterm Labour?

I want to know the possible signs of preterm labour. I ve had Braxton hicks since 28 weeks, I am 33 now. I leaked clear fluid twice, it was enough to soak my underwear and my pants. I went to the doctor about it and she told me I may be in preterm labour, sent me home and I am to keep an eye on it. I went in again today for leaking and for mentrual like cramps in my pelvic that don t tighten my stomach, so aren t the Braxton hicks I been having. I felt pukey and like I had diarrhea. It s been about 6 hours since I went in as she was rushed because of another high risk pregnancy I feel she didn t listen to what I had told her. Especially since she told me it was my plug, when it would have been a color. What I leaked was completely clear with a very small amount of what looked like the discharge. I know the difference between discharge and water. I leaked a water like fluid that had a bit of a belly feel to it. I keep cramping, I feel over heated, I had a lot of sugar in my Urine, and I don t want to risk not catching preterm labour early

I understand your concern.
You had clear urine like liquid from vagina that soaked your underwear. drainage of amniotic fluid is a point of concern & needs to be arrested & treated / It indicates breaking of amniotic sac. You also have high blood sugar--
- I am worried about possibility of infection specially with high glucose level. You should see your doctor immediately for getting an antibiotic prescription.
- You have to take bed rest with leg end raised.
- observe for fetal movements- if changed go to your doctor immediately.
- Labor pains are pains come in waves with uterus getting hard like a stone. , increasing in intensity& the distance between two pains decreased. There is increased mucus discharge.
You have to get admitted with such signs.Please don't worry. you r baby can survive if taken out in time , in PBU as per need. But it is essential to avoid infection & it's complications.
