What Are The Symptoms Of Proteinuria?

Hello, im a female, im 20 I had a question.. I recently had or though I had a (UTI) because I felt like I had to pee a lot even after I had already went so I called to make an appointment at my clinic but I had an appointment already for 4 days later so I waited.. my feeling got worst and I couldn t handle it it was so annoying.. my boyfriend had some medicine he was takeing called doxycycline monohydrate and I seen online it helped for (UTI) so I took one then 6 hours leter I took another one I felt better. Anyway I went to my clinic on my appointment day 4days later and I told my Dr. About the infection I thought I had and I took a urine test and my Dr. Told me I had protein and suger in my urine. I really didnt care at that moment and didnt know what that ment exactly so I didnt ask.. she just told me to take a blood test so, I did and she told me she was gonna call if it make back positive today she called and I couldn t answer my phone.. she left a voicemail and said it was positive and that she sent medicine to my pharmacy.. I called back but sins its new years everything is closed I am worried.. I checked online for proteinuria and it says it can be a kidney disease, diabetes or high blood pressure but I doubt I have high blood pressure or diabetes.. so I was thinking it might be the doxycycline monohydrate, I checked online and it said it can cause proteinuria mostly in females which I am and 20yrs old also so im sure that caused it .. now my question is .. is it curable? Is it bad? Will it go away? What can I do to make.it better? Please help im worried :( can t even enjoy my new year s not knowing if its something bad or not :( I keep researching and it all looks bad? Can anyone tell me what might be going on? I will highly appreciate it.
