What Are The Symptoms Of Recovering From Coma?
Hi Doctor,
My younger sister met with an accident a week back and is lying in coma in ICU. Her condition was critical with Brain slightly shifted due to the accident. There was swelling in the brain and doctors operated on the other side of the brain to remove the fluids. Now the swelling has reduced but she continous to be in coma. There is a slight movement of both her hands and legs but nurses say that she cant hear as she is in Coma. Her Eyes waters sometime and now she is on liquid diet. They give her liquids through pipe.
They did a scan today and the doctors said it looks fine. As its a brain injury we accept that recovery might be delayed but want to know how normal people like us know if her health is improving. Its been 7 days and she is still in coma.
Please suggest.
