What Are The Symptoms Of Shingles?

I have been diagnosed with shingles, started on Valtrax for a week. I had the Zostivax vaccine about 1 year ago. My shingles patch is not real painful, but I feel a burning down my leg from my buttock where I have the lesion......does that sound typical. Find it strange that it is not more painful.
