What Are The Symptoms Of Sinus Problems?

I woke the morning with pain on the left side of my head and feels like my teeth are hurting. Kinda feels like when you've been to the dentist and the feeling is quite back. Discomfort when I touch the side of my head. Could this be a sinus infection?

Hi..
Welcome to HEALTHCARE MAGIC..

As per your query pain in head with teeth hurting can be symptoms of sinus infection or Sinusitis as there are major pair of sinuses present around the nose and at the back of eye and on forehead..
Pain in cheeks, blocked nostrils and mucous discharge from nose and post nasal drip are also symptoms of Sinusitis..
As the maxillary sinuses are very close to roots of upper jaw teeth, therefore sinus infection can cause pain in teeth on the affected side..
I would suggest you to consult an Otolaryngologist and get evaluated and a thorough clinical evaluation and investigations like PNS View x ray can help in diagnosis and treatment can be done accordingly..
In case if it is due to sinus infection then you can be advised a course of antibiotics, anti-inflammatory painkiller like Ibuprofen, decongestants like Pseudoephadrine, do saline nasal irrigation, steam inhalation and use a humidifier in your room..
You can also be advised decongestant nasal sprays containing Xylometazoline or Oxymetazoline..
Avoid spicy and chilled foods..
Do warm compresses around nostrils..

Hope this helps..

Regards.
