What Are The Symptoms Pancreatitis?

I have been having pain in the upper right quadrant of my abdomen, just under my ribcage. It feels like a stomach ache and worsens after I eat. I feel nauseated after eating and my face flushes like rosacea. The discomfort is always there. I have seen my dr. and he has proscribed pantoprozale for excess stomach acid. I am a 62 yr old woman who has always had low stomach acid. This pain does not feel like acid burning. No belching but anything I eat makes me gaseous. I have not taken the medication as I don t think it is acidic stomach. Is it the start of pancreatitus? If so, what steps should I take to heal

HI, thanks for using healthcare magic

If the pain is in the right upper abdomen then the structures in that area should be considered as a source of pain eg the liver, gallbladder.

There are some foods that when used, can cause problems with the gallbladder.

An ultrasound of the abdomen may be needed to take a look at the gallbladder.

I hope this helps
