beside using pessaries , pushing the hernia through the vagina to help defecation or surgery for rectocele in a very senior patient,, what are the other options available? age 99, manage her toilletries, excellent mental faculties; wt. about 45 kg; Height: 5 ft. ;on Dilzem (Cal. blocker)30mg x2/day & Imdur 30 controled stable angina.

Thanks for query,
As she is 99 yrs surgery for rectocele is not advisable.
Give regular mild laxative daily along with passaries.
Avoid pushing of rectocele as far as possible.
Keep local hygiene well.
