Heroin stays in the system for about 72 hours. if your last use of heroin was over 72 hours ago, your urine should be negative for opiates. methadone, however is detectable in urine for 3 weeks.you could buy a drug test kit at the pharmacy and check your own urine to see if the heroin has cleared.
